Appleseed

A cyberpunk manga series created by Masamune Shirow, set in the 22nd century after World War III has left the world devastated. The story follows Deunan Knute and her cyborg partner Briareos Hecatonchires as they serve in the elite ESWAT police force of Olympus, a utopian city governed by bioroids (artificial humans). The series explores themes of coexistence between humans and artificial life forms, political intrigue, and the challenges of maintaining a utopian society.
