Neon Genesis Evangelion consists of 26 original TV episodes, which first aired from 1995 to 1996.
The recommended watch order is: the original 26-episode series, followed by the film 'The End of Evangelion'. For a modern reimagining, you can then watch the 'Rebuild of Evangelion' tetralogy (1.11, 2.22, 3.33, and 3.0+1.0).
