Sailor Mars commands the power of fire and spiritual energy, from her basic Fire Soul to the elegant Flame Sniper bow attack.
Fire Soul (English: Fire Ignite)
Mars' first and most fundamental attack. She brings together her two index fingers, from which a fireball ignites and spirals toward the enemy in a blazing stream. First seen in English episode 7.
Akuryou Taisan (English: Fireball Charge)
Not always considered a formal attack, this is Rei's signature anti-evil charm technique. She uses sacred ofuda (paper talismans with Japanese characters) to ward off evil spirits. The phrase means "Begone, evil spirit!" This reflects Rei's role as a shrine maiden at Hikawa Shrine.
Fire Soul Bird (English: Firebird Strike)
Formed similarly to Fire Soul, but instead of a simple fireball, the flames take the majestic shape of a phoenix-like bird which swoops toward the intended target. First seen in English episode 48.
Burning Mandala (English: Celestial Fire Surround)
Mars draws a circle of fire around herself. The flames merge in front of her hands, then blast toward the enemy as spinning discs. First seen in Japanese episode 63 / DiC English episode 57. Still R, not S.
Flame Sniper
A fiery bow and arrow materialize in Rei's hands, glowing with spiritual fire energy. She takes aim and shoots the blazing arrow toward her target with pinpoint accuracy.
