Tuxedo Kamen falls, and Usagi in her distress is revealed to be the true Princess Serenity! Memories of the past return to the senshi; Usagi cries - and her teardrop becomes the Imperium Crystal! Light from the crystal is absorbed into Mamoru, before Kunzite attacks, steals Mamoru from the senshi and vanishes! Usagi collapses. Later, Luna and the senshi comfort her, and make plans of how to retrieve Mamoru from the enemy - they must return to the moon, to find out the truth...
Usagi is excited about going to the moon - on the day, the senshi make their way to the park, and under Luna's instructions they teleport to the moon! There, they find ruins, a sword and a hologram of Queen Serenity, who reminds them of the past. She tells Usagi she must use the Imperium Crystal to seal the present evil away. She then vanishes, and the senshi return to earth. Beryl meanwhile sends Kunzite again to defeat the scouts, who meanwhile have sensed a disturbance in the Arctic... they arrive to battle Kunzite, and combine their powers to eliminate him. So, Beryl summons Mamoru, and sends him to kill Usagi!
Usagi seems back to normal, until she encounters the new guy that looks exactly like Mamoru! Rei gets a bad omen in her fire reading, and Ami finds out more about the sword they found on the moon. At the game center, Usagi encounters the Mamoru lookalike again, and the other senshi are suspicious of him... He questions Usagi and frightens her, but she keeps returning... Later, he secretly takes control of Makoto, and breaks into the senshi's control room - He grabs the crystal, but the heartbroken Usagi won't fight... until Luna falls, so she turns to retalliate... and Beryl appears at his side!

Mamoru and Usagi both fall, as the senshi look on in horror - Queen Metallia arises and swallows them! The senshi rush to the surface and battle, but to no use. Darkness moves over the world, as the scouts band together, and surrender their lives to save Mamoru and Usagi - flashback to the Silver Millenium, and it's demise - as the Imperium Crystal transforms into a crystal flower... Usagi escapes Metallia with Mamoru, and turns to fight from outside. With help from Kunzite and Mamoru, she raises the crystal flower and her sceptre, ready for her final battle...
